CD105 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot analysis of CD105 (Endoglin). Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with CD105 (Endoglin) recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-53462) with a dilution of 1:5,000, followed by HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody with a dilution of 1:20,000. Image was developed using FeQTM ECL Substrate Kit.

CD105 Antibody — Antibody specificity was demonstrated by siRNA mediated knockdown of target protein. HeLa cells were transfected with CD105 shRNA and decrease in signal intensity was observed in Western Blotting using Anti-CD105 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (23GB3745) (Product # MA5-53462) at a dilution of 1:5,000. Secondary antibody used was a goat anti-rabbit (HRP) at a dilution of 1:20,000. {KD}

CD105 or Endoglin is a Type I transmembrane protein, which is highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells. It exists on an O- and N-glycosylated homodimer. Up regulation of endoglin expression has been demonstrated in tumor vasculature and proliferating cells, suggesting that it is a proliferation associated endothelial marker. CD105 binds to TGF beta 1 and 3 with high affinity but not to TGF beta 2.
