CDK1 Antibody (PA5-95273) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of CDK1 using anti-CDK1 antibody (Product # PA5-95273) . CDK1 was detected in a section of U2OS cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 2μg/mL rabbit anti-CDK1 antibody (Product # PA5-95273) overnight at 4°C. CDK1 or Cell Division Control protein 1 is essential for the completion of START, the controlling event in the cell cycle that is required to initiate mitosis. CDK1 is a catalytic subunit of a protein kinase complex, called the M-Phase Promoting Factor that induces entry into mitosis and is universal among eukaryotes. Phosphorylation of Bcl-2 in G2/M phase-arrested cells following photodynamic therapy with hypericin involves a CDK1-mediated signal and delays the onset of apoptosis. Therapeutic potential of CDK inhibitor NU2058 in androgen-independent prostate cancer has also been demonstrated.
