Desmoplakin Antibody (PA5-89145) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Desmoplakin in paraffin-embedded mouse heart. Samples were incubated with Desmoplakin Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-89145) using a dilution of 1:50 (40x lens). Perform high pressure antigen retrieval with 10 mM citrate buffer pH 6.0 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

Desmoplakin (DSP) is a major high molecular weight protein of the desmosomes. It is involved in the organization of the desmosomal cadherin-plakoglobin complexes into discrete plasma membrane domains and in the anchoring of intermediate filaments to the desmosomes. Desmoplakin mutations are associated with Keratoderma and cardiomyopathy.
