IL-18 Antibody (PA5-47420) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of IL-18 in immersion fixed canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Samples were incubated in IL-18 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47420) using a dilution of 15 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm.

In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant porcine IL-18 is observed, 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant rhesus macaque IL-18 is observed, 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-18 is observed, and 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-18 and recombinant rat IL-18 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine. This cytokine can induce the IFN-gamma production of T cells. The combination of this cytokine and IL12 has been shown to inhibit IL4 dependent IgE and IgG1 production, and enhance IgG2a production of B cells. IL-18 binding protein can specifically interact with this cytokine, and thus negatively regulate its biological activity.
