Immunocytochemistry analysis of IL18 using anti-IL18 antibody(Product # PA5-79479). IL18 was detected in an immunocytochemical section of blood cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 1 μg/mL rabbit anti-IL18 antibody (Product # PA5-79479) overnight at 4°C. The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine. This cytokine can induce the IFN-gamma production of T cells. The combination of this cytokine and IL12 has been shown to inhibit IL4 dependent IgE and IgG1 production, and enhance IgG2a production of B cells. IL-18 binding protein can specifically interact with this cytokine, and thus negatively regulate its biological activity.
