IL-18 Antibody (MA5-47203) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of IL-18 in A431 cells. Cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: IL18 stained by IL18 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-47203) diluted at 1:500. Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [GT114] diluted at 1:1,000. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine. This cytokine can induce the IFN-gamma production of T cells. The combination of this cytokine and IL12 has been shown to inhibit IL4 dependent IgE and IgG1 production, and enhance IgG2a production of B cells. IL-18 binding protein can specifically interact with this cytokine, and thus negatively regulate its biological activity.
