Description: The mouse IgM is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin. The immunoglobulin was generated by immunization with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The immunoglobulin is reactive with LPS.
Applications Reported: Mouse IgM Isotype Control PE-Cyanine7 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Mouse IgM Isotype Control PE-Cyanine7 has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Light sensitivity: This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Please protect this vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) (100 µL of cell sample + 100 µL of IC Fixation Buffer) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-57) for up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency/compensation. Some generalizations regarding fluorophore performance after fixation can be made, but clone specific performance should be determined empirically.
Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 775 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser.
Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin M antibody that is produced by B cells in response to an antigen. It is the first antibody produced during an immune response and is the largest immunoglobulin in the serum. Mouse IgM is composed of five heavy chains and five light chains, and it is involved in complement activation and agglutination of antigens. It plays a crucial role in the innate immune response and is important for neutralizing pathogens before the adaptive immune response is fully activated. Mouse IgM is widely used in research and diagnostic applications, including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
