Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Anti-Peroxidase (horseradish) (Mouse) antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Mouse Serum as well as purified and partially purified Peroxidase [Horseradish]. Cross reactivity against Peroxidase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
HRP, also known as horseradish peroxidase, is an enzyme that is commonly used in biochemistry and molecular biology research. It is derived from the root of the horseradish plant and catalyzes the oxidation of a wide range of substrates in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. HRP is widely used as a detection enzyme in immunoassays, such as ELISAs and Western blots, due to its high sensitivity and stability. It can also be used as a tracer in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and as a labeling agent in fluorescent microscopy.
