RSV Type A Glycoprotein G Antibody (MA5-50501) in WB
Western Blot analysis of RSV Type A Glycoprotein G using RSV Type A Glycoprotein G Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-50501) in Non-infected (–) and infected (+) HEp-2 whole cell extracts (5 μg) at a dilution of 1:1,000. Extracts were separated by 12% SDS-PAGE. An HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

The RSV Type A Glycoprotein G gene, also known as RSV G protein, is a target for developing vaccines and antiviral therapies against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). RSV is a highly contagious virus that causes respiratory tract infections, especially in infants and young children. The G protein is a major surface antigen of RSV that plays a crucial role in virus attachment and fusion with host cells. The G protein has two antigenic sites, A and B, that are important for inducing neutralizing antibodies. Targeting the G protein can potentially prevent RSV infection and reduce the severity of respiratory disease.
