mCherry Antibody (MA5-42333) in ICC/IF
mCherry Monoclonal Antibody (GT844) detects mCherry protein at cytoplasm by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: Mock and transfected 293T cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: mCherry stained by mCherry Monoclonal Antibody (GT844) (Product # MA5-42333) diluted at 1:1,000. Red: mCherry is expressed in the transfected cell. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining. MCherry is a fluorophore (a fluorescent molecule) used in biotechnology as a tracer to follow the flow of fluids, as a marker when tagged to molecules and cells components. mCherry is a monomeric fluorescent construct which absorbs at 587 nm and emits at 610 nm. It is resistant to photobleaching and is stable. It matures quickly, with a t 0. 5 of 15 minutes, allowing it to be visualized soon after translation.
