p73 Antibody (MA5-32187) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of Tumor protein p73 was performed using 70% confluent log phase HCT 116 cells treated with 25uM of Etoposide for 24 hours. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. P73 (TP73) participates in the apoptotic response to DNA damage. Isoforms containing the transactivation domain are pro-apoptotic, isoforms lacking the domain are anti-apoptotic and block the function of p53 and transactivating p73 isoforms. May be a tumor suppressor protein.
