Immunohistochemistry (Frozen) analysis of Contactin-1 was performed in frozen sectioned adult mouse retina tissue using Contactin 1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-27501) at a dilution of 1:250 (Green). Red: beta Tubulin 3/ TUJ1, stained by beta Tubulin 3/ TUJ1 antibody diluted at 1:250. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

Contactin 1 encodes a protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored neuronal membrane protein that functions as a cell adhesion molecule. It may play a role in the formation of axon connections in the developing nervous system. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
