D-dimer Chimeric Antibody (MA5-47781) in ELISA
ELISA analysis of D-dimer chimeric monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-47781) was performed by coating plate with D-dimer protein at a concentration of 5 µg/mL. A 3-fold serial dilution from 10,000 ng/mL of the antibody was done (blue curve). For detection, a 1:4,000 dilution of HRP-labelled anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used. Rabbit anti-Fluorescein was used as a control (orange curve).

Specificity: Recognises epitopes that reside between amino acids 86 and 302 in the gamma-chain of fragment D chains of fibrinogen (Fragment D) and other cross-linked fibrin degradation products containing D-Dimer, but no reactivity with Fragment D or E, fibrinogen or fibrinogen degradation products.

Fibrinogen is the main protein of blood coagulation system. It consists of two identical subunits that contain three polypeptide chains: alpha, beta and gamma. The process of blood coagulation results in the activation of fibrinogen into fibrin by thrombin and fibrin polymerization. Fibrin clot is then digested by plasmin, and fibrin degradation products of different molecular weights are released into the bloodstream.
