ERp57 Antibody (MA5-45227) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using human heat shocked cervical cancer cells. Fixation involved 2% Formaldehyde for 20 min at RT. Samples were incubated with Erp57 (Grp58) monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45227) at 1:100 for 12 hours at 4°C, followed by FITC Goat Anti-Mouse (green) at 1:200 for 2 hours at RT. This gene encodes a protein of the endoplasmic reticulum that interacts with lectin chaperones calreticulin and calnexin to modulate folding of newly synthesized glycoproteins. The protein was once thought to be a phospholipase; however, it has been demonstrated that the protein actually has protein disulfide isomerase activity. It is thought that complexes of lectins and this protein mediate protein folding by promoting formation of disulfide bonds in their glycoprotein substrates.
