Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the immunoconjugate. Diluted antiserum should be stored at 4 C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.
Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.
Species Reactivity: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to proteins, since homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.
HRP, also known as horseradish peroxidase, is an enzyme that is commonly used in biochemistry and molecular biology research. It is derived from the root of the horseradish plant and catalyzes the oxidation of a wide range of substrates in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. HRP is widely used as a detection enzyme in immunoassays, such as ELISAs and Western blots, due to its high sensitivity and stability. It can also be used as a tracer in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and as a labeling agent in fluorescent microscopy.
