IARS Antibody (A304-748A-T) in WB
Detection of human and mouse IARS by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 µg) from HeLa, 293T, Jurkat, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-IARS antibody A304-748A-M (lot A304-748A-M-1) used for WB at 1:1000. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

IARS is a member of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases which catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNA by their cognate amino acid. Because of their central role in linking amino acids with nucleotide triplets contained in tRNAS, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are thought to be among the first proteins that appeared in evolution. Isoleucine-tRNA synthetase belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family and has been identified as a target of autoantibodies in the autoimmune disease polymyositis/dermatomyositis. Two alternatively spliced variants have been isolated that represent alternate 5' UTRs.
