SF3B5 Antibody (A305-586A-T) in WB
Detection of human and mouse SF3B5 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 µg) from HeLa, 293T, Jurkat, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SF3B5 antibody A305-586A-M (lot A305-586A-M-1) used for WB at 1:1000. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

SF3B5 is a protein coding gene involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the splicing factor SF3B complex, a constituent of the spliceosome. SF3B complex is required for 'A' complex assembly formed by the stable binding of U2 snRNP to the branchpoint sequence (BPS) in pre-mRNA. Sequence independent binding of SF3A/SF3B complex upstream of the branch site is essential, it may anchor U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA.
