Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of SK-BR-3 (Lane 1), MDA-MB-231 (Lane 2), MCF-7 (Lane 3) and tissue extracts of Mouse Brain (Lane 4) and Rat Brain (Lane 5). Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

靶标信息

Sortilin functions as a sorting receptor in the Golgi compartment and as a clearance receptor on the cell surface. Sortilin is required for protein transport from the Golgi apparatus to the lysosomes by a pathway that is independent of the mannose-6-phosphate receptor (M6PR). It is also required for protein transport from the Golgi apparatus to the endosomes. Sortilin promotes neuronal apoptosis by mediating endocytosis of the proapoptotic precursor forms of BDNF (proBDNF) and NGFB (proNGFB). Also, Sortilin acts as a receptor for neurotensin.
