UEC (Unique Error Code) Viewer is a service application that allows you to share error codes at the point of instrument malfunction with our team of remote support engineers. This may help to identify root cause of the issue faster and more precisely. UEC Viewer, once executed, retrieves and displays all error codes that occurred in past 72 hours.
It's essential to execute the UEC Viewer before the technical issue with the instrument is reported to the RSE team. A remote support engineer will then search for the next steps related to the error code in our internal knowledge base.
This is for TEM instruments running Windows 10 only.
To install UEC Viewer, simply download and run the installer file on your microscope PC. Once the installer is executed, there will be a pop-up window stating it’s finished.
Download the installer and run the application.
Once installed, the application will be available in the Start menu.
When the UEC Viewer is opened, recent error codes will show along with time stamps. While the default timeframe is 72 hours, you can use the slides at the top of the window allow to narrow down the time frame.
Share the UECs with your remote service engineer.
