Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute this lyophilized preparation with sterile, distilled water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Further dilutions should be made in tissue culture grade buffered solutions with heat inactivated fetal calf serum or low endotoxin BSA.
Storage: This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2°C to 8°C, but should be kept at -20°C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2°C to 8°C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
TARC ligand (CCL17) belongs to the CC chemokine family. It is a small cytokine and the gene is located on q arm of chromosome 16, in humans, along with other chemokines. TARC specifically binds to T-cells and interacts with chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8. It plays an important role in T cell development in thymus as well as in trafficking and activation of mature T cells.
