Remove trace anion contaminants from hydroxide or borate eluents with the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IonPac™ ATC-3 and Dionex IonPac ATC 500 Anion Trap Columns. These trap columns are installed in the eluent line after the pump prior to the injection valve to prevent spurious peaks and to minimize base line shifts during gradient operation. The Dionex IonPac ATC 500 is identical to the Dionex IonPac ATC-3, but is packed in a column body that is compatible with the nonstop operation of high-pressure ion chromatography Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ HPIC™ system pressures up to 5000 psi (34.5 MPa).
The Dionex IonPac ATC and Dionex IonPac ATC 500 Anion Trap Columns contain microporous anion-exchange resin in the hydroxide form. The anion trap columns strip trace anionic contaminants out of the eluent and/or deionized water and prevents them from reaching the guard or analytical columns. Anionic contaminants present on the eluent and/or deionized water often interfere with the precision of trace anion determinations in particular when performing an anion-exchange application that involves a gradient eluent.
