TrueMark Xeno Control, Kanamycin Resistance, serves as an exogenous process control of a known concentration that is spiked into a sample at specific stages throughout the qPCR process. Measuring the concentration of the spiked-in sequence allows for its use as a serial quality control, and it can be used to monitor recovery efficiency and to identify false negative results such as those that occur due to the presence of PCR inhibitors in molecular detection workflows. This is of particular importance when working with sample types that have a high level of inhibition.
We recommend using this spike-in control for pathogen detection panels containing assays that detect beta-lactamase sequences.
This product contains a kanamycin resistance sequence and can be used as an alternative to the TaqMan Universal DNA Spike-In Control (Cat. Nos. A39175 and A39176).
