The Applied Biosystems Absolute Q dPCR SARS-CoV-2 Wastewater Surveillance Kit enables fast, sensitive, absolute quantification of SARS-CoV-2 from isolated wastewater nucleic acid using the QuantStudio Absolute Q Digital PCR System.
Features of the Absolute Q dPCR SARS-CoV-2 wastewater surveillance kit include:
•
Ease of use—simple qPCR-like workflow with just a few pipetting steps and minimal hands-on time
•
Fast—absolute quantification of targets of interest in less than two hours, including reaction preparation and dPCR data collection
•
Consistency—powered by microfluidic array plate (MAP) technology and TaqMan chemistry for exceptional data consistency
The Absolute Q SARS-CoV-2 Wastewater Surveillance Kit contains both a triplex digital PCR (dPCR) assay and
Absolute Q 1-Step RT-dPCR Master Mix. The high-resolution multiplex assay targets two SARS-CoV-2 N gene (nucleoplasmid protein) regions because the gene is the more stable and less susceptible to mutations. The assay was designed by our experts with experience in rapidly responding to the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, who helped ensure SARS-CoV-2 specificity and followed CDC guidance.
In accordance with CDC guidelines for SARS-CoV-2 wastewater surveillance, an assay targeting pepper mild mottle virus (PMMoV) is also part of the single tube triplex assay to enable fecal normalization. The assay enables all three targets to be detected in a single well. With the QuantStudio Absolute Q dPCR System, the red channel is free to enable further multiplexing with your own target of interest by combining the assay kit with an appropriate dye-labeled assay.
The wastewater surveillance kit offers enough multiplex assay and master mix for 200 sample reactions and is for use with the QuantStudio Absolute Q MAP16 Plate.
