QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix is a pre-formulated, optimized, universal 2X master mix for real-time PCR workflows. Combined with user-supplied primer sets and template, this master mix amplifies targets for accurate gene expression analysis. It contains UDG enzyme to help prevent crossover contamination and has a two-year shelf-life.
Features of QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix include:
• High sensitivity and specificity ensuring specificity of detection with smaller Ct value
• Bright fluorescence signal—strong amplification curve with high ΔRn value and higher plateau fluorescence signal
• Wide dynamic range—precise measurement across six logs of dynamic range, helping ensure reliable linearity
• High benchtop stability—the reaction can be stably stored at room temperature for 72 hours, making it easy to schedule the test time

Combination of high sensitivity and specificity
QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix contains Taq DNA polymerase, which is tightly controlled through an antibody-mediated hot-start mechanism, helping prevent undesirable early activity of the polymerase at low temperatures that can lead to non-specific amplification. This master mix is designed for high sensitivity and specificity in your most challenging real-time PCR applications.
Bright fluorescence signal
QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix consistently gives a strong fluorescent signal well above background for clean and robust results. Positive signals in the plateau phase of amplification are upwards of two-fold brighter compared to other master mixes.
Wide dynamic range
QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix can yield up to 6-log dynamic range for cDNA (see figure) and shows equivalent or better dynamic range in the detection of various targets compared to other master mixes.
High benchtop stability
QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix was engineered to maintain high levels of performance in prepared reactions for up to 72 hours at room temperature. A figure below shows the stability of reactions performed at the time of preparation (T0) and after 72 hours of incubation at room temperature (T72).
Batch-to-batch consistency
The production process of QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix follows the ISO 9001 quality management system, which helps ensure the traceability of the production process and establishment of quality control points from raw material procurement to product release, helping produce high batch-to-batch consistency and stable repeatability of the master mix (see figure below).
Anti-residual contamination
The inclusion of uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) and dUTP in QK Platinum SYBR Green Master Mix enables the degradation of any previously amplified PCR products, helping prevent contamination of subsequent qPCR reactions and possible false positives.
