The Thermo Scientific™ RAMOS Raw Mix Optimization Software is a powerful solution for blend proportioning that uses the data generated by online elemental analyzers to automatically adjust multiple raw material feeds, to deliver consistent quality within the constraint of minimizing costs and carbon footprint. From high frequency chemical composition data, it determines the feed flows required to consistently meet a predefined composition for the mix. Automatic adjustment of the weigh feeders, as frequently as once per minute, minimizes variability in the chemistry of the blended stream. Use RAMOS to reduce variability in the feed to the cement kiln - for higher throughput, longer refractory life, and lower fuel consumption – to minimize the use of expensive feedstocks, and to extend quarry life in cement and sintering facilities.

RAMOS works with online crossbelt analyzers such as the Thermo Scientific™ CB Omni Agile Online Elemental Analyzer to maximize the value of real-time elemental analysis in raw material management and blend proportioning. Key features include:

  • Automatic, high frequency weigh feeder adjustment for the precise control of blend chemistry.
  • Option to specify critical feeder information, including the delay time from each feeder to the analyzer, for more accurate blend optimization.
  • Advanced control algorithm that utilizes material cost minimization in combination with standard and custom quality control parameters, for customization to meet operational requirements and priorities.
  • Highly configurable and user-friendly, for fast and efficient implementation across a range of applications.
  • Flexible plant connectivity, for streamlined integration with existing protocols.
  • Clear visual displays of process charts and trends, for easy data access and efficient operation.
  • Requires only initial estimates of the chemistry of the source material, for consistently high performance with minimal set-up.
