8-oxo-dG CEP is a phosphoramidite containing an oxidized deoxyguanosine (dG), and it facilitates the investigation of the structure and activity when incorporated into an oligonucleotide. In nature, 8-oxo-dG DNA lesions are formed with reactive oxygen species (ROS), and is removed by by the base excision repair (BER) mechanism. This modification is significant in mutagenesis, carcinogenesis, and has been proven useful as a biomarker. This product is supplied in a 5 mL amber bottle with a serum vial neck style, which is compatible with most Applied Biosystems synthesizers and AKTA synthesizers of oligonucleotide synthesizers.
