GST Tag Antibody (MA4-004-A647) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of HeLa cells transfected with a construct containing a GST Epitope Tag. Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS for 15 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 3% Blocker BSA (Product # 37525) for 15 minutes at room temperature. GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26kDa protein, present in eukaryotes and in prokaryotes, where they catalyze a variety of reactions. Glutathione Stransferase is used to create the GST gene fusion system. This GST-fusion protein can then be purified from cells via its high affinity for glutathione. Fusion Proteins offer an important biological assay for direct protein-to-protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
