Invitrogen NovaFluor Yellow 690 dye has an emission spectrum that fits between the emission peaks of PE-Cyanine 5 (PE-Cy5) and PE-Cyanine 7 (PE-Cy7), potentially allowing detection of an additional marker in a complex multicolor panel. NovaFluor Yellow 690 and NovaFluor Yellow 700 dyes cannot be used together with conventional flow cytometry, but their distinct spectral signatures allow them to be successfully unmixed using a spectral flow cytometer.

The macromolecule-based NovaFluor Yellow 690 dye produces highly stable fluorescence, and stained samples retain their fluorescence intensity and spectral signature when stored at 4°C. Use NovaFluor dyes with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer to reduce background and to block non-specific binding of NovaFluor labels, PE and APC tandems observed with macrophages and monocytes.

We offer NovaFluor dyes conjugated to primary antibodies for use in flow cytometry, as well as NovaFluor Antibody Conjugation Kits, NovaFluor CD4 Label Characterization Kits, and custom conjugation services.

Search NovaFluor Yellow 690 primary antibodies

  • Narrow emission spectrum and minimal cross-laser excitation for better resolution
  • Bright fluorescence allows it to be paired with medium-to-low abundance antigens
  • Can allow the detection of an additional marker between PE-Cy5 and PE-Cy7 emissions
  • Produces highly stable fluorescence and is compatible with all buffers tested

Spectral signature of NovaFluor Yellow 690 dye. Normal human peripheral blood cells stained with CD4 Monoclonal Antibody (SK3 (SK-3)), NovaFluor Yellow 690 were used for analysis. Data were acquired on a 5-laser Cytek Aurora system.

Staining of human peripheral blood cells with NovaFluor Yellow 690 dye conjugated antibody. Normal human peripheral blood cells (PBMCs) were unstained (left) or stained with CD19 Monoclonal Antibody (HIB19), NovaFluor Yellow 690 (right). Data were acquired in the YG6 channel on a 5-laser Cytek Aurora system, and singlet cells were used for analysis.
